Mahindra MaXX

MaXX was a tailor-made vehicle to address the requirements of the Taxi customer segment. MaXX was developed by using an extended longer version of the Marshal bodyshell on a Mahindra UTILITI platform.

The MaXX was fitted with –

  • MDI3200 , 2.5 lit diesel engine
  • KMT90 ,  4-speed Gearbox
  • T18, Spicer , 2-speed Transferbox (4WD)
  • 114” Wheelbase
  • 57” Wheel Track – Front
  • 53” Wheel Track – Rear

The MaXX had the best in class interior space for a 10-seater vehicle and the vehicle was a major success in the Taxi segment. The all-weather Taxi was the ideal vehicle for inter-town passenger movement.

MaXX Festara

MaXX Festara was the luxury version of the MaXX for personal usage. The Festara sported an independent front suspension for ride comfort and air-conditioning.

  • 53” Wheel Track – Rear

The original name Festiva had to be dropped in the last moment due to trademark registration of the name by another manufacturer.

Author’s note – The MaXX was one of the most loved vehicle in the Taxi segment and can still be seen operating in large numbers in the interior villages of India, the lifeline of passenger movement
