Logan

Logan was the first and only car to come out of the Mahindra Renault joint venture.

Logan was a very successful global car and was sold in many countries. The CKD units received from Dacia, Romania were assembled at the new assembly line at Mahindra, Nashik.

The JV with Renault brought in lot of global standards to manufacturing plants as well to the After-sales support system of Mahindra.

The JV ran in to troubled waters due to the sales numbers not meeting the expected volumes. The JV was wound up in 2009 and Renault built a new plant in Chennai to build more car models as well as the successful Duster.

Post the demerger, Mahindra bought the rights to build the Logan in India under the Mahindra badge. The Logan was renamed as Verito. The Verito continued till 2019 and production ended with the implementation of BS6 emission norms.

Verito

The Logan Diesel was one of the most fuel efficient car in India at that time. It had the largest space in the rear seats as well a huge boot. It was one of the most reliable car and loved by taxi operators for its interior space, fuel mileage and boot space.
